On Saturday 10 December we celebrated the opening of The Quilters’ Patch by welcoming family and friends to an afternoon tea and preview of the shop. After all of the preparation and planning, it was wonderful to see our guests enjoying their surroundings, chatting to old friends and new. The positive feedback that we have received on the look and feel of the shop has made all of the hard work worthwhile. The shop location, layout, the ranges and the classroom seemed to get the nod of approval from our first visitors.
Over fifty people gathered and were treated to a sneak-peak of the shop and some of the fabric ranges that we will stock in the new-year. While enjoying a cuppa and some wonderful sandwiches and cakes (thanks Dillieboppers Specialty Cakes!), we saw some beautiful quilts made from some of the future ranges. Guests also had the opportunity to meet some of the very talented teachers who will be taking classes in term one. Keep your eye on our website for our class list.
I was so pleased to welcome guests to ‘The Patch’, and to receive their best wishes – some even brought lovely flowers and cards. I had a lovely day, and would like to thank everyone for their support.
